With over 70 years of experience in the automotive, white goods and industrial sectors, we support our customers from the production-ready design of an electric motor to final production solutions.
Our team of 170 employees at the Karben site strives every day to realize individual and scalable winding solutions in order to enable, together with our customers and partners, the production of compact electric motors with high copper fill factors and maximum efficiency.
With our holistic approach, we stand beside our customers as a competent industrialization partner, throughout the entire life cycle of the production solutions.
Our experienced team of technical sales, design- and software engineers work closely together to develop individual customer solutions. From procurement and assembly to final testing and commissioning at the customer’s plant, our project management ensures that the production solution is implemented to the satisfaction of our customers. Together with our strong partner network, we work consistently to further develop our solutions and offer our customers innovative winding and automation solutions.
Our winding technologies are developed to realize highest copper fill factors, at the same time, energy efficiency and highest quality are always in focus. A special highlight is our patented flat wire wave winding technology (Continuous Hairpin). With this technology we enable our customers to realize compact electric motors with highest efficiency. This technology was specially designed to meet the high requirements of electromobility.
We are a pioneer in the field of innovative winding technology and a leading supplier of machines for the production of stators for electric motors, alternators and generators.
For over 60 years, we have been applying the highest technological know-how and in-depth market knowledge to the development and manufacture of customized solutions. A highly qualified team of engineers and technicians realizes individual projects from conception and sampling to commissioning and maintenance. With more than 50 patents worldwide in stator manufacturing, we are leaders in the industry and pioneers for our customers.
Since its foundation in 1949, ELMOTEC STATOMAT has steadily developed into a leading supplier of innovative winding technology. Together with our globally operating customers, we have continuously optimized stator production and developed new, pioneering technologies and systems. Since 2019, ELMOTEC STATOMAT has been part of the globally operating and family-owned Schaeffler group. Together, we want to continue the success story and, as Schaeffler ELMOTEC STATOMAT, make a significant contribution to a moving and sustainable future.
The history of ELMOTEC STATOMAT starts in 1949 with the foundation of Balzer & Dröll K.G. in Niederdorfelden. At the beginning of the company history the focus was on the development and production of slot isolation machines and lacing machines.
